You can’t tell by my blog activity, but I keep pretty busy with work, family, photography and volunteer activities. I especially enjoy when I can combine my passions, like volunteering at Southern Oregon Humane Society, also known as SoHumane. I’ve always loved dogs and cats, but can’t adopt them all. Each week, I’m able to contribute to the care and well-being of so many furry friends. When I’m not walking dogs on Sundays, I’m taking photos at the shelter and their adoption events.
2015 was a record-breaking year for adoptions and I am so blessed to be a part of it. So many amazing animals come through the shelter, many of them brought in on the Saving Train from other shelters where their fate was not favorable. Every day, staff and a whole lot of volunteers ensure each animal is fed, exercised and socialized. What’s not to love about being part of this ?!
Here’s a slideshow of some of our fur-ever friends in 2015. It’s a bit lengthy, so grab a snack and something to sip on, sit back and enjoy!
